Whilst our main focus is on developing functional use cases, we also strive to play an active supporting role in the wider blockchain development ecosystem. We have joint research initiatives with educators including TU Delft, Erasmus, University of Southern California, Hogeschool Rotterdam, Haagse Hogeschool, Christelijke Hogeschool Windesheim, and TNO, and have made wider contributions to blockchain education with online publications and masterclasses, student programs, and internships. Alongside research programs and advising on curricula and academic hackathons, our expertise can be found in texts such as ‘Blockchain and the Supply Chain: Concepts, Strategies and Practical Applications’, co-written by BlockLab’s Director Aljosja Beije.

However, we aren’t solely focussed on education; we have public-private research and development programs with enterprises such as Rotterdam’s Innovation Quarter, EnergyDelta, TKI Dinalog and DBC, and host meetups with the Ethereum Ocean, and Polkadot developer communities.
